dragon</b></p><p class="ql-block"><b style="color:rgb(57, 181, 74);"> When I was a little kid, I admired the Chinese dragon as it is very mysterious and very powerful.</b></p><p class="ql-block"><b style="color:rgb(57, 181, 74);"> Two years ago, I visited the forbidden city. </b></p><p class="ql-block"><b style="color:rgb(57, 181, 74);"> In the Hall of Supreme Harmony, five-clawed golden dragons towered above me.</b></p><p class="ql-block"><b style="color:rgb(57, 181, 74);"> Therefore, I assumed that the Chinese dragon represents power and royalty.</b></p><p class="ql-block"><b style="color:rgb(57, 181, 74);"> But when I dug deeper, I found that 5000 years ago the ancestors of Chinese people had a dragon for a totem.</b></p><p class="ql-block"><b style="color:rgb(57, 181, 74);"> Dragons gave them rain which helped people make a better harvest.</b></p><p class="ql-block"><b style="color:rgb(57, 181, 74);"> So, I realized that the dragon does not represent royalty, but is a guardian of the Chinese people.</b></p><p class="ql-block"><b style="color:rgb(57, 181, 74);"> I wanted to know more about the Chinese dragon, so, I read a book called《The Dragon Gate》.</b></p><p class="ql-block"><b style="color:rgb(57, 181, 74);"> It tells a story about fish who wanted to turn into a dragon to protect his hometown.</b></p><p class="ql-block"><b style="color:rgb(57, 181, 74);"> After billions of attempts, the fish leaped over the dragon gate and made his dream come true.</b></p><p class="ql-block"><b style="color:rgb(57, 181, 74);"> There is a dragon inside every one of us, letting us try, try, and try again to achieve our greatest dreams.</b></p><p class="ql-block"><b style="color:rgb(57, 181, 74);"> Now I know the meaning of the Chinese dragon.</b></p><p
