<p class="ql-block">太谷二中一分校2208班 李婉詩</p> <p class="ql-block ql-indent-1"><span style="font-size:18px;">My favorite saying:</span></p><p class="ql-block ql-indent-1"><span style="font-size:18px;">Cross the stars over the moon to meet your better-self.</span></p><p class="ql-block ql-indent-1"><span style="font-size:18px;">跨過星河 邁過月亮 去迎接更好的自己。</span></p> <p class="ql-block"> Believe</p><p class="ql-block">The first step</p><p class="ql-block">第一步</p><p class="ql-block">Before anybody else in the world believes it is you have to believe it.</p><p class="ql-block">在別人相信之前 你自己要先相信：</p><p class="ql-block">There’s no reason to have a Plan B, because it distracts your Plan A.</p><p class="ql-block">你沒有理由為自己制定B計劃 因為它會影響你的A計劃</p><p class="ql-block">Confucius said,</p><p class="ql-block">孔子說過：</p><p class="ql-block">“He who says he can and he who says he can’t are both usually right”.</p><p class="ql-block">說自己能做到的人 與說自己做不到的人 結(jié)果通常都會如其所言</p><p class="ql-block">Being realistic is the most commonly travelled road to mediocrity.</p><p class="ql-block">安于現(xiàn)狀是通往平庸最常走的道路</p><p class="ql-block">Why would you be realistic?</p><p class="ql-block">你為什么要安于現(xiàn)狀？</p><p class="ql-block">What’s the point of being realistic?</p><p class="ql-block">安于現(xiàn)狀有何意義？</p><p class="ql-block">You have to believe that something different than what has happened.</p><p class="ql-block">你一定要相信現(xiàn)在的事情與過去已發(fā)生的有所不同</p><p class="ql-block">You have to believe that something different can happen.</p><p class="ql-block">你一定要相信將來也會有所不同</p><p class="ql-block">Rather than feeling like you’re at affect to all the things that are happening,</p><p class="ql-block">與其覺得你被現(xiàn)在的事情所左右</p><p class="ql-block">make a choice, you just decide what is gonna be,</p><p class="ql-block">不如做個選擇 你只要決定將來會怎樣</p><p class="ql-block">who you’re gonna be, how you’re gonna do it. Just decide.</p><p class="ql-block">你想成為誰 你如何才能做到 做出決定吧！</p> <p class="ql-block">And then from that point, the universe is gonna get out of your way.</p><p class="ql-block">從你決定的那一刻起 整個世界都將為你讓路</p><p class="ql-block">Greatness is not this wonderful,</p><p class="ql-block">偉大并不是不可思議的</p><p class="ql-block">esoteric, illusive god-like feature that</p><p class="ql-block">難懂的 幻想出來的神一般的品質(zhì)</p><p class="ql-block">only the special among us will ever taste,</p><p class="ql-block">也不是只有那些特殊的人才能是偉大的</p><p class="ql-block">it’s something that truly exists in all of us.</p><p class="ql-block">偉大這種品質(zhì)存在于我們每個人當(dāng)中</p><p class="ql-block">I’ve never really viewed myself as particularly talented,</p><p class="ql-block">我從未覺得自己有特別的天賦</p><p class="ql-block">where I excel is ridiculous,</p><p class="ql-block">我優(yōu)于別人的地方是可笑的</p><p class="ql-block">sickening work ethic.</p><p class="ql-block">近乎病態(tài)的職業(yè)道德</p><p class="ql-block">While the other guy is sleeping, I am working. No matter how talented you are.</p><p class="ql-block">不管你多么有天賦 成功的路都沒有捷徑可走</p><p class="ql-block">Your talent is gonna fail you if you’re not skilled.</p><p class="ql-block">如果你沒有技能 你的天賦也將使你失敗</p><p class="ql-block">Talents you have naturally, skill is only developed by hours and hours and hours of beating on your craft.</p><p class="ql-block">天賦是你天生就有的 而技能是你不斷磨練出來的</p><p class="ql-block">I wanna be an idea.</p><p class="ql-block">我想成為一種信念</p><p class="ql-block">I wanna represent possibilities.</p><p class="ql-block">我想要代表無限可能</p><p class="ql-block">I wanna represent the idea that you really can make what you want.</p><p class="ql-block">我想要代表這種信念：那就是你可以塑造任何事情</p><p class="ql-block">I believe that we’re who we choose to be.</p><p class="ql-block">我相信我們成為什么樣的人是我們自己的選擇</p><p class="ql-block">The road to success is</p><p class="ql-block">通往成功的路</p><p class="ql-block">through commitment and through the strength</p><p class="ql-block">需要用承諾并用堅韌</p><p class="ql-block">to drive through that commitment when it gets hard.</p><p class="ql-block">支撐著承諾才能在困難中走下去</p> <p class="ql-block">It is gonna get hard and you’re gonna wanna quit sometimes.</p><p class="ql-block">這條路會很難走 有時候你會想要放棄</p><p class="ql-block">But it will be colored by who you are and more who you want to be.</p><p class="ql-block">它會被你是誰和你想成為什么樣的人所影響</p><p class="ql-block">When you wake up in the morning,</p><p class="ql-block">當(dāng)你早晨醒來的時候</p><p class="ql-block">and your life means something to somebody other than you</p><p class="ql-block">你的生命對你以外的人來說有意義</p><p class="ql-block">that you have a purpose, if you don’t go do the things that you’re gonna do,</p><p class="ql-block">你就會有一個目標(biāo) 如果你不去做你要做的事情</p><p class="ql-block">people’s lives will suffer.</p><p class="ql-block">其他人的生活就會受到損害</p><p class="ql-block">To live in service, not to you but to live in service to humanity,</p><p class="ql-block">服務(wù) 不為自己 而是為了人類</p><p class="ql-block">to live in service to your family, to your church, to your city, to your country, to the world.</p><p class="ql-block">為了你的家庭 你的教堂 你的城市和整個世界</p><p class="ql-block">That is the purest form of joy.</p><p class="ql-block">這是最純真的快樂</p><p class="ql-block">If you’re not making someone else’s life better, then you are wasting your time.</p><p class="ql-block">如果你所做的事不能改善其他人的生活 那你就是在浪費時間</p><p class="ql-block">You can’t be scared to die for the truth.</p><p class="ql-block">你不能害怕為真理而死</p><p class="ql-block">The truth is the only thing that’s ever gonna be constant.</p><p class="ql-block">真理是唯一可以永恒的</p><p class="ql-block">It’s very simple.</p><p class="ql-block">真理很簡單</p><p class="ql-block">This is what I believe and I am willing to die for it.</p><p class="ql-block">這就是我的信念 我愿意為真理而付出生命</p> <p class="ql-block"> 指導(dǎo)教師:武永珺</p>
