<p class="ql-block">1.自從進(jìn)入大學(xué)參加了毛老師的聽力課后,我意識到自己聽力方面的許多不足,尤其是在詞匯量方面我感觸頗深。</p><p class="ql-block">Since entering the university and </p><p class="ql-block">attending Professor Mao's listening </p><p class="ql-block">course, I realized that I have many shortcomings in listening, especially in terms of vocabulary. </p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">2.在聽力能力中,詞匯是至關(guān)重要的因素。即使非常清楚這一點(diǎn),我還是因?yàn)檫^少的詞匯量而感到困難,經(jīng)常因?yàn)椴幻靼茁犃χ械年P(guān)鍵詞匯而丟失一些重要信息。</p><p class="ql-block">Vocabulary is a crucial factor in </p><p class="ql-block">listening ability. Even understanding </p><p class="ql-block">this point, I still suffer a lot from a </p><p class="ql-block">small vocabulary and often miss some important information in listening </p><p class="ql-block">exercise because I don’t know the </p><p class="ql-block">meaning of the key word. </p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">3.因此,想要提升聽力,提升詞匯量是十分重要并且必要的。但是僅僅通過背單詞書的方法效率很低。所以這學(xué)期我也一直在尋求提升詞匯量的高效途徑。</p><p class="ql-block">Therefore, it is very important and </p><p class="ql-block">necessary to enhance vocabulary in </p><p class="ql-block">terms of improving listening </p><p class="ql-block">comprehension. However, simply </p><p class="ql-block">memorizing vocabulary in word books is inefficient. This semester, I have also been seeking efficient ways to improve my vocabulary.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">4.在毛老師的指引下,本學(xué)期我多掌握了兩種高效并且超級實(shí)用的背單詞方法。分別是在視譯中積累以及在聽力練習(xí)中主動吸收。</p><p class="ql-block">Under the guidance of Professor Mao, I mastered two more efficient and </p><p class="ql-block">super practical methods of </p><p class="ql-block">memorizing vocabulary this semester. They are accumulated in sight </p><p class="ql-block">translation and actively absorbed in </p><p class="ql-block">listening exercise.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">5.所謂的視譯,即邊看文本邊翻譯。這對于學(xué)習(xí)者的要求十分高,首先你要有豐富的詞匯量。自然地,這項(xiàng)練習(xí)也就暴露出了我詞匯量不足的短板。</p><p class="ql-block">The so-called sight translation refers </p><p class="ql-block">to translating while reading the text. </p><p class="ql-block">The requirements for learners are very high. Firstly and most importantly, you need to have a rich vocabulary. </p><p class="ql-block">Naturally, this exercise exposes my </p><p class="ql-block">weakness in vocabulary.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">6 .本學(xué)期我們進(jìn)行了大量的視譯練習(xí),每節(jié)課毛老師都會選取一篇NPR的新聞供我們進(jìn)行練習(xí)。這些新聞都十分原汁原味,不僅有很多地道的表達(dá),還提供了很多幫助我們更好地了解外國的情況。</p><p class="ql-block">The first half of this semester, we </p><p class="ql-block">conducted a lot of sight translation </p><p class="ql-block">exercises. In each class, Professor Mao will select an NPR news article for us </p><p class="ql-block">to practice. The NPR news is very </p><p class="ql-block">authentic, not only adopting many </p><p class="ql-block">authentic expressions, but also providing a lot of information that help us better understand the situation of foreign countries.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">7.課上,老師會邊進(jìn)行視譯,邊進(jìn)行詞匯以及某些表達(dá)的講解,這為我提供了一個很好的積累地道詞匯的來源。</p><p class="ql-block">In class, the teacher showing correct </p><p class="ql-block">sight translation when explaining </p><p class="ql-block">vocabulary and certain expressions, </p><p class="ql-block">which provides me with a good source of accumulating authentic vocabulary.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">8.比如在上周的視譯練習(xí)中,我在一篇關(guān)于美國歷史的新聞中就了解到了一個詞匯“one-of-a-kind”,雖然每個單詞我都認(rèn)識,但當(dāng)它們組成了一個新詞匯我就不明白這是什么意思了。通過解釋后我才明白是獨(dú)一無二的意思。</p><p class="ql-block">For example, in last week's sight </p><p class="ql-block">translation exercise, I learned a word "one of a kind" in news about</p><p class="ql-block">American history. Although I know </p><p class="ql-block">each single word, when they form a </p><p class="ql-block">new word, I don't understand what it means. After explaining, I learned that it means something unique.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">9.此外,視譯的方法往往需要我一次性快速閱讀文本,這為對單詞的理解提供了很好的上下文語境,讓我能夠很好地理解單詞的同時(shí),也加深了對于這個單詞的印象。</p><p class="ql-block">In addition, the method of sight </p><p class="ql-block">translation often requires me to </p><p class="ql-block">quickly read the text at once, which </p><p class="ql-block">provides a good contextual context for understanding the word, allowing me to understand the word well while also deepening my impression of it.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">10. 另一種方法便是從聽力中積累。毛老師經(jīng)常會給我們提供雅思和托福的聽力材料,其中有大量的對話以及講座演講。</p><p class="ql-block">The other method is to accumulate </p><p class="ql-block">from listening exercises. Professor Mao often provides us with listening </p><p class="ql-block">materials of IELTS and TOEFL </p><p class="ql-block">including a large number of dialogues and lectures.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">11.如果說視譯讓我能夠積累一些更加地道的書面的表達(dá)以及詞匯的話,那么從雅思和托福材料中積累的詞匯便更加偏向生活化的口語表達(dá)。</p><p class="ql-block">Sight translation allows me to </p><p class="ql-block">accumulate more authentic written </p><p class="ql-block">expressions and vocabulary, while the vocabulary accumulated from IELTS </p><p class="ql-block">and TOEFL materials is more inclined </p><p class="ql-block">to daily oral .</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">12. 因?yàn)檠潘己屯懈B犃荚嚸嫦虻娜后w大多數(shù)是需要到英語國家生活學(xué)習(xí)的非母語者, 聽力材料中會包含大量生活化的場景,包括老師與學(xué)生之間的對話,講座等。</p><p class="ql-block">Because the majority of the audiences for the IELTS and TOEFL listening </p><p class="ql-block">exams are non-native speakers who </p><p class="ql-block">need to live and learn in English </p><p class="ql-block">speaking countries, the listening </p><p class="ql-block">materials will include a large number </p><p class="ql-block">of real-life scenarios, including </p><p class="ql-block">dialogues between teachers and </p><p class="ql-block">students, lectures, and so on.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">13. 每次毛老師在聽力練習(xí)結(jié)束后將其中的生詞或者是極其常見但陌生的表達(dá)做成excel表格,并帶領(lǐng)大家熟悉。</p><p class="ql-block">Every time after listening practice, </p><p class="ql-block">Professor Mao forms an Excel spreadsheet with new words or extremely common but unfamiliar expressions, and leads everyone to familiarize them.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">14. 例如,我在聽力中積累了美國口語中“教務(wù)處”“花名冊”等高頻出現(xiàn)的詞匯。這是在詞匯書上難以見到的地道表達(dá)。</p><p class="ql-block">For example, I have accumulated high-frequency vocabulary of American </p><p class="ql-block">spoken English such as "Registrar’s </p><p class="ql-block">Office" and "Roster" through listening exercises. This is an authentic </p><p class="ql-block">expression that hard to find in </p><p class="ql-block">vocabulary books.</p> <p class="ql-block">15.通過上半學(xué)期的學(xué)習(xí),我不僅掌握了更加高效的記單詞方法,更對詞匯的學(xué)習(xí)有了更加深刻以及清晰的認(rèn)識。</p><p class="ql-block">Through the first half semester's </p><p class="ql-block">learning, I have not only mastered </p><p class="ql-block">more efficient methods of memorizing words, but also gained a deeper and </p><p class="ql-block">clearer understanding of vocabulary </p><p class="ql-block">learning.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">16.首先,我明白了,基礎(chǔ)詞匯不是一成不變的,詞匯的使用也是隨著時(shí)代國家地區(qū)的改變而改變的。因此要更新詞匯庫,不能僅僅拘泥于一些過時(shí)的表達(dá)。</p><p class="ql-block">Firstly, I understand that vocabulary is not fixed, and the use of vocabulary </p><p class="ql-block">also changes with the times, countries, and regions. Therefore, it is important </p><p class="ql-block">to updating the vocabulary data and </p><p class="ql-block">not just stick to outdated expressions.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">17.其次,積累詞匯量的方式也不應(yīng)該是單一的,不能僅僅從書本上獲取。閱讀,新聞,聽力都是極好的積累詞匯的來源。</p><p class="ql-block">Secondly, the way to accumulate </p><p class="ql-block">vocabulary should not be singular and can’t be obtained solely from books. </p><p class="ql-block">Reading, news, and listening are all </p><p class="ql-block">excellent sources of vocabulary </p><p class="ql-block">accumulation.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">18.最后也是最重要的,積累詞匯和練習(xí)聽力一樣,要大量,持久地進(jìn)行積累,如此才可以在聽力中取得大進(jìn)步。</p><p class="ql-block">Last but not least, accumulating </p><p class="ql-block">vocabulary, like practicing listening, </p><p class="ql-block">requires extensive and sustained </p><p class="ql-block">accumulation. Only by this way can we get great improvement in listening.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">19. 相信通過有效的學(xué)習(xí)積累方法以及認(rèn)真的態(tài)度,詞匯量可以有較大提升,從而提高聽力水平,取得更好的成績。</p><p class="ql-block">I believe that through effective </p><p class="ql-block">learning accumulation methods and </p><p class="ql-block">a serious attitude, I can get </p><p class="ql-block">improvement in vocabulary, thereby </p><p class="ql-block">improve listening skills and achieve </p><p class="ql-block">better grades</p>
