<p class="ql-block">rippling,rippling,rippling </p><p class="ql-block">防止老年癡呆的最好辦法是多用腦, 比如下下馳比如下圍棋, 打橋牌等 ” 。 說完, 醫(yī)生看了 我一眼, 說: “ 你就多看看書吧。 ” 兩年后, 我覺得仍有疑惑, 咬牙掛了一個專家號, 專家給 我寫了四個字: 寫讀后感。 </p><p class="ql-block">上世紀(jì)九十年代初, 兩個在南京工作的單身漢受民間謠言誘惑, 去看一部名字叫 “ 查德萊夫 人的情人 ” 電影, 當(dāng)劇末演員表開始彈起時, 同事開始罵人, 大意就是誰誰誰是騙子, 或者 導(dǎo)演, 或者電影院, 因為一個他想看的鏡頭也沒有出現(xiàn)。盡管我也失望,但我沒罵, 罵騙子 的都是傻子, 我不想當(dāng)傻子。 </p><p class="ql-block">網(wǎng)絡(luò)資料顯示, 《查德萊夫人的情人》 曾經(jīng)是美英的禁書, 被禁原因是書中性愛描寫過于露 骨, 不知道在我國有沒有被禁過??唇麜鴳?yīng)該看原版,否則容易被騙。依靠網(wǎng)絡(luò)時代的便利, 我很容易找到了《 LADY CHATTERLEY'S LOVER 》, 在詞典的幫助下, 花了一個月的時間迷迷糊 糊地讀完了全書。 作者勞倫斯用直敘的方式講了上世紀(jì)初兩個不同階層的人愛情故事, 按現(xiàn)在的話叫婚外情。 我喜歡他這種簡單,現(xiàn)在有些作家唯恐讀者不知道他們超人的智慧,喜歡在自己的作品中構(gòu) 建各種復(fù)雜的情節(jié),好像他們是諸葛亮再世。女主康妮康妮是個活潑的女子,身體健康、精 力過人, 父母都是上流社會的成員。康妮從小接受的是自由的教育,是一個開明的女子,康 妮的丈夫男爵克利福特 · 查泰萊繼承了父親老查泰萊在英國中部的礦區(qū), 他在一次大戰(zhàn)中受 傷癱瘓, 只能坐在輪椅上, 自然也失去了性能力; 奧利弗 · 麥勒斯是他們的獵場看守人, 他 出身礦工, 是位退役軍官, 強(qiáng)健精悍, 已婚分居。 康妮愛上了麥勒斯, 并跟丈夫提出離婚。 小說最后沒有說明他們最后有沒有在一起,只是在麥勒斯給康妮的信中交代了他們在期待他 們幸福的生活。 作者勞倫斯的父母在認(rèn)知上是兩個不同階層的人,父親是礦工、酒鬼,母親是小學(xué)教師,文 化水平比她丈夫高出很多,勞倫斯的青少年生活受到貧窮和父母之間的摩擦的影響?;蛟S因 為這樣, 他期待人間至善至美的愛情,至真至幻的性愛,可以從他一段描寫康妮在與情人麥 勒斯性愛中達(dá)到高潮的文字中可以看出:</p><p class="ql-block"> He took her in his arms again and drew her to him, and suddenly she became small in his arms, small and nestling. It was gone, the resistance was gone, and she began to melt in a marvellous peace. And as she melted small and wonderful in his arms, she became infinitely desirable to him, all his blood-vessels seemed to scald with intense yet tender desire, for her, for her softness, for the penetrating beauty of her in his arms, passing into his blood. She was gone, she was not, and she was born: a woman. </p><p class="ql-block">英國是個島國, 緯度上靠北, 春冬需烤火, 作者喜歡用海浪的起伏、火焰的噴發(fā)來形容,我 這么自負(fù)地分析。 我喜歡勞倫斯勞倫斯寫風(fēng)景的段落, 有時很長, 如:</p><p class="ql-block"> I t was really a lovely day, the first dandelions making suns, the first daisies so white. The hazel thicket was a lace-work, of half-open leaves, and the last dusty perpendicular of the catkins. Yellow celandines now were in crowds, flat open, pressed back in urgency, and the yellow glitter of themselves. It was the yellow, the powerful yellow of early summer. And primroses were broad, and full of pale abandon, thick-clustered primroses no longer shy. The lush, dark green of hyacinths was a sea, with buds rising like pale corn, while in the riding the forget-me-nots were fluffing up, and columbines were unfolding their ink-purple ruches, and there were bits of blue bird's eggshell under a bush. Everywhere the bud-knots and the leap of life! </p><p class="ql-block">有時很短, 如: The bluebells washed blue like flood-water over the broad riding, and lit up the downhill with a warm blueness. 我不想去查字典, 確定 bluebell 是什么花, 她們已經(jīng)把目之所及的地方染盡和藍(lán)色,為什么 還要在意她們叫什么, 是什么形狀。</p><p class="ql-block"> 勞倫斯在文中方言的使用讓我讀起來痛不欲生。這些方言如果只是由不重要的角色短暫地發(fā) 出也就算了,他偏偏讓這些方言在麥勒斯與康妮交流的重要場合不斷出現(xiàn),或許勞倫斯有他 的心里需求, 有他獨(dú)特的文化或階層按時。對外鄉(xiāng)人的讀者而言,這些方言如溪流中新筑起 的壩, 阻斷了情緒與思考, 讓讀者不知所措地站著, 很尷尬, 如伸出的手被人忽視一般。。</p><p class="ql-block">縮略圖</p> <p class="ql-block">文中的確出現(xiàn)了很多露骨的性愛文字, 這應(yīng)該就是被禁的原因:</p><p class="ql-block"> She softly rubbed her cheek on his belly, and gathered his balls in her hand.</p><p class="ql-block"> The penis stirred softly, with strange life, but did not rise up...... He lifted himself kneeled beside her a moment, kissed the inner side of her thighs...... </p><p class="ql-block">she quickly kissed the soft penis, that was beginning to stir again...... </p><p class="ql-block">當(dāng)你看到這些文字是, 你會 “rise” 并 “erect” 嗎? 其實作者犯不著用如此 “dirty” 的文字描繪他們性愛的細(xì)節(jié), 從藝術(shù)的角度看, 它們是雞肋, 《霍然時期的愛情》就高明的很,那么他為什么這么倔強(qiáng)呢?尤其他以前的文章已經(jīng)有過被 禁的歷史。這一段也比較 “dirty”:He kissed her belly and her mound of Venus, to kiss close to the womb and the foetus within the womb...... 但我覺得有必要, 當(dāng)時的場景是:康迪告訴麥勒斯 她懷了他的孩子, 她感覺非常幸福, 自然也非常驕傲, 她讓他吻她的肚子, 吻他們的孩子。 所以他 KISSED 。 </p><p class="ql-block">康妮是個矛盾體:她享受著工業(yè)革命帶給她的財富與生活便利, 從她的認(rèn)知看她應(yīng)該知道工 業(yè)革命是人類社會發(fā)展的必經(jīng)道路,可她卻拒絕接受甚至反對,就如她一邊心安理得地作為 一個享受著上層社會帶給她的榮耀卻又一邊莫名其妙地反對階層分化一般,這可以從她置身 工業(yè)區(qū)卻只看到丑陋骯臟的社區(qū)、 空洞蒼白的人群中洞察;書中出現(xiàn)不少的段落描寫人在金 錢的奴役下變得茫然, 墮落, 沒有寧靜, 沒有溫柔, 沒有愛, 似乎金錢是當(dāng)時社會最大的細(xì) 菌, 吞噬著人們的健康、 幸福, ”They all wanted to get money out of your ...... like squeezing blood out of a stone” , 她的階層讓她擁有大量的存款和遺產(chǎn), 從而能讓她有自由的心靈去追 求愛, 可以不及后果地離開富有的丈夫,非常諷刺。作者花了兩年多時間修改這篇小說,卻 忽略了這個矛盾, 抑或他本人就是這樣的矛盾體? 康妮是個勇敢的人: 在每次和麥勒斯幽會結(jié)束后她會告訴他 ” 我愛你 ” , 并要求他回答 ” 我也 愛你 ” , 說明她是多么愛他, 多么熱愛那充滿生機(jī)的自由生活; 當(dāng)他告訴她 “We came off together that time“ , 她會問他 ”Have you come off like that with other women?” ; 她主動把自 己和看護(hù)人的愛情告訴了父親和姐姐,并且按照自己的意愿安排這后續(xù)的相關(guān)事項,及時在 家中一直占主導(dǎo)地位的姐姐竭力反對;有一段文字寫的非常好, 當(dāng)她和麥勒斯一起費(fèi)力將丈 夫和輪椅往山坡上推, “All her soul suddenly swept towards him: he was so silent, and out of reach! And he felt his limbs revive. Shoving with his left hand, he laid his right on her round white wrist, softly enfolding her wrist, with a caress. And the flame of strength went down his back and his loins, reviving him. And she bent suddenly and kissed his hand” , 她突然吻了他的手,這是多 么美妙多么勇敢的愛之表達(dá); 也是她首先提出要和丈夫離婚并和麥勒斯結(jié)婚, 永遠(yuǎn)在一起, 不管面對什么樣的丑聞與困難。她什么這么勇敢?因為愛? !</p><p class="ql-block"> 康妮也是個非?,F(xiàn)實的人: 當(dāng)她想和麥勒斯永遠(yuǎn)在一起時, 她想到了她有兩萬英鎊的財產(chǎn), 這筆數(shù)字按她父親的話說 “moderate, moderate, but above starvation” ; 為了讓丈夫能同意和她 離婚, 她甚至制定了 “ 貍貓換太子 ” 的策略, 謊稱她愛上了一個藝術(shù)家, 作為回報, 她愿意做</p><p class="ql-block">藝術(shù)家的裸體模特, 她還信誓旦旦地向情人麥勒斯保證 “ 肯定不會讓藝術(shù)家碰她 , I wouldn't have him touch me” 。 康妮的財富與落入俗世的現(xiàn)實讓她成為一個意志強(qiáng)大的女人, 靈與肉 的結(jié)合給她裝上了靈活且動力充足的翅膀,相信她會越飛越高。這種積極的人生態(tài)度值得尊 敬與學(xué)習(xí)。 </p><p class="ql-block">文中設(shè)置了主要的兩組矛盾。一組是查德萊與麥勒斯,階層的矛盾顯而易見,他們還是情敵, 按錢鐘書先生的話又叫同情兄:同一個情人。 書中沒有出現(xiàn)兩人間的直接沖突, 查德萊對麥 勒斯只有鄙視, 麥勒斯確充滿恨意,甚至想殺掉查德萊。如作者的愿望或安排,麥勒斯戰(zhàn)勝 了查德萊, 這不值得辯論。第二組是康妮和她家女護(hù)士,她們也存在這階層矛盾,一個是上 層社會的或寡婦,一個是底層礦工的真寡婦。在女護(hù)士二十多歲的時候,她的礦工丈夫死在 煤礦上,她沒有得到公正的對待,為了撫養(yǎng)兩個為成年的孩子,她拼命工作,學(xué)習(xí)護(hù)理知識, 并在護(hù)理方面獲得良好口碑, 由此她進(jìn)入了康妮家庭, 成為查德萊的專用護(hù)士。 可以想象, 康妮相比, 女護(hù)士的生活過程充滿了更多的苦難。她很聰明,首先發(fā)現(xiàn)了康妮出軌,并查出 了她的情人, 喜歡傳遞八卦的她對此卻保守秘密,盡管沒人要她這么做,說明她有恰當(dāng)?shù)牡?德界限。康妮忙于尋找愛情, 探求性愛, 女護(hù)士忙于與掙扎生活, 哺育孩子。 曾經(jīng)她也喜歡 過麥勒斯, 巧了, 她和康妮居然也是 “ 同情妹 ” , 而且她的情感還先于康妮, 那么她為什么 在麥勒斯分居后去找他呢?她不渴望愛情?她不需要性愛?應(yīng)該是她沒有時間與精力去考 慮生存之外的事情吧。她把愛情排擠在生活之外,這是非常殘酷的現(xiàn)實,也是下層人唯一的 選擇。 勞倫斯宣揚(yáng)人性, 宣揚(yáng)攀登, 贊美康妮追求愛情、打破階層的勇敢行為,可他為什么 看不到女護(hù)士的人性光輝, 偉大母性?忽略著她的愛情? 勞倫斯在書中旗幟鮮明地反對社會階層,可正是這階層差異造就了康妮的愛情,造就了他這 本書。 </p><p class="ql-block">有光有樹的地方就有陰影, 階層象陰影一樣, 無法消除。在上層人眼里, 階層是一種 客觀存在, 如我們中國人所說的“五行 ” 一般, 在底層人眼里, 階層如蜂窩, 一面憎恨這看 守的蜜蜂, 一面向往著香甜的蜂蜜。這種憤怒與向往混合在一起, 比例恰當(dāng)?shù)脑挘?會變成促 進(jìn)社會進(jìn)步的動力,否則就會變成阻力。憤怒在什么時候會占大多數(shù)呢?當(dāng)謊言成為獲得巨 額財富的主要工具時。</p><p class="ql-block"> 勞倫斯是個詩人, 他用詩一樣語言通過情人麥勒斯寫給康妮的信結(jié)束了全文: So I love chastity now, because it is the peace that comes of fucking. I love being chaste now. I love it as snowdrops love the snow. I love this chastity, which is the pause of peace of our fucking, between us now like a snowdrop of forked white fire. And when the real spring comes, when the drawing together comes, then we can fuck the little flame brilliant and yellow, brilliant.I love this chastity, which is the pause of peace of our fucking, between us now like a snowdrop of forked white fire. I t is like fresh water and rain 。</p><p class="ql-block"> 英國是個宗教國家, 可是全書只有最后一章, 也就是麥勒斯給 康妮的信中講到了一點(diǎn)宗教,這和《無名的裘德》截然相反,這也有點(diǎn)奇怪, 不知道是否和 作者的經(jīng)歷有關(guān)。 勞倫斯不僅有豐富的想象力,還有點(diǎn)石成金的文字才華,整篇文章像大河的水流入海洋一般 自然, 壯觀, 又深不可測, 兩岸點(diǎn)綴著各不相同的風(fēng)情;他還勇敢,就如他的女主人公一般, 敢于追求,從不放棄,這股勇氣在自然風(fēng)光精致的描繪中有,在簡單直白的對話中有,在 “ 淫 穢 ” 性愛場景里有; 他敢批評現(xiàn)實, 尤其是等級社會, 嘲笑貴族, 這也許是他的書被禁的最大原因。他關(guān)于身體感官享受的描寫達(dá)到了頂峰,幾乎斷絕了后來碼字者摻水掙稿費(fèi)的捷徑, 我們有個巨匠只好用六個方框來控制自己內(nèi)心的激動。 Rippling, rippling, rippling, like a flapping overlapping of soft flames, soft as feathers, running to points of brilliance, exquisite, exquisite and melting her all molten inside. 總的來說, 此書值得一讀, 至少滿足一下好奇心。我又發(fā)現(xiàn)收我門診費(fèi)的醫(yī)生不夠地道,他 們沒有告訴我要保持好奇心</p>
