Traveling with Fang Dawei to this location coincided with the beginning of the rainy season, when the mountain air was refreshing. The three cascades resembled a river of stars cascading down, producing a thunderous sound that resonated through the valley. The water mist enveloped the face, feeling cool and refreshing. This was not the legendary scene of “watching snowflakes fly over the Tianxing Bridge,” but rather the authentic depiction described by Xu Xiake: “crushing pearls and breaking jade, spray rising back, appearing like smoke and mist.” The name Huangguoshu originates from the local Buyi language term “huang ge shu,” referring to the ancient trees surrounding the waterfall; when the renowned Ming-dynasty geographer visited this place, he marveled at its “extent of forty zhangs, with cascading water and mist that spread out like smoke and fog.” Despite four hundred years of wind and rain, the waterfall’s power had not diminished.</span></p> <p class="ql-block" style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-size:18px;">瀑布斷自奔涌而下,數(shù)道水簾并垂,激浪撞潭,騰起浩渺白霧,將潭面籠成半透明的琉璃鏡。陽光斜穿水汽,在飛流間織出微光浮動的薄紗,白水與黛巖、深碧樹冠與澄藍(lán)天幕撞出最本真的色彩張力。潭水靜臥如硯,倒映蒼翠峰影,偶有微瀾輕漾,便揉碎一池青空。近岸巖石被千年水流磨得圓潤黝亮,河面浮著細(xì)碎綠波,是喀斯特水系特有的清冽色澤。兩岸林木蓊郁,枝干虬勁,新葉在風(fēng)里翻出銀邊,整座山谷仿佛被水聲與綠意反復(fù)濯洗過,澄澈得不染塵囂。</span></p>
